Smh :x whats worse is Madison was in his final list of schools, if Wojo doesn't reach the NCAA's next year he needs to go!

Do i have this right?:
Jalen Johnson - Sun Prairie, Wisconsin.
Sun Prairie is 13 miles from Madison... 25 minutes.
Sun Prairie is 73 miles from Marquette... 67 minutes.
He grew up in a Madison suburb.

Why would it be surprising he'd favor Madison? He probably grew up as a Badgers fan.

And the Badgers top rival is Marquette, so would be a stretch to think he'd consider them.

He played at Nicolet High School several years. Which is in Glendale, he still plays there. Wojo always disappoints he should be competing with Madison for these guys.

Good grief. Buzz and Crean couldn't snag a top recruit if their life depended on it and yet it's only Wojo that disappoints? We're on Baldwin's list and he's also from Milwaukee but you'd rather pick and choose reasons to hate Wojo so ignore that and focus on the kid that chose DUKE it's not like he chose UW. Depaul was on Jabari Parker's list and Jahlil Okafor's... a lot of good that did them.

Snagging the #4 player in the class for a single year isn't going to help the long term prospects of MU. Didn't they try that with Henry E.? I think OAD's help push contending teams over the top when added in with other veteran players. If it was the case of last year's Marq. team staying intact and some top 10 kid were available, that might be a different story. But this kid will be in school until April and then will bolt to prep for the NBA draft. I don't think trying to be Duke or UK could ever work here in the BE (nor should we aspire to be those types of programs IMO).

Sounded like it was going away after Zion and the injury issues he highlighted (along with a slew of other issues) last March but not much on the subject lately, any updates?

Marquette's G.O.A.T., Dwyane Wade, just made the inaugural CUSA Hall of Fame class.

-In 2003, led Marquette to its only C-USA regular season title and C-USA’s first Final Four appearance; was named Midwest Regional MVP after recording a triple-double in defeating No. 1-ranked Kentucky.
-Post collegiate career, was the No. 5 overall pick in the NBA Draft and has played 15 seasons in the NBA
