Bummer to be down 10 at half when it was a 2 point game with about 2 mins to go. Hope we can keep it close in the 2nd half. Ponds has been shut out.

Oh I dream of the day when this team starts playing before the last 10 minutes of a game. Reality though, is it's not coming this year. Inconsistency is a common flaw for such a young team.

I'm pissed... When are we ever gonna have a competitive SJU team at a national level? It's a shame the Big Apple lacks a power basketball team at any level (pro or college)!

to me, and Dickie V called it- the game turned on the flagrant foul called in the 1st half. St John's had played pretty darn well up to then, even with Ponds not scoring. But that's when the game started to go away from them.

Will be really interesting to see the NET impact, not only for St John's but everyone else.

Hey Howard , we get it Providence is the worst offensive team in the BE /You don't need to say it 20 times in 3 minutes

Well, we got our clock cleaned plain and simple. Ponds may have just played himself out of the draft looking totally overmatched against Duke. They start several top 5 picks and they will be the small fish in the NBA. Can't imagine Ponds trying to score against legit stars in the NBA if he can't even get anything going against Duke. I actually kinda feel bad for Marquette...they seem to get us at our angriest this year :) big game coming and honestly I love seeing Marquette playing as a top 10 team...they were totally disrespected by pundits who thought we were only Nova. Not sure how long we can shut Howard down...will be very interesting to see how it goes.

it's interesting, I thought kind of the same thing with Ponds in that game with Duke about the NBA draft. It wasn't just not scoring but also all the turnovers.

will be interesting to see the Marquette game tomorrow. 1 of 2 real good shots to get a Q1 win. Can't really count on the @ Providence game to be a Q1 win right now- PC is #80.
