I posted this over on the Xavier board, but I'm going to blanket message as much as possible since this means a lot to me.

It's a great opportunity for alumni, parents, students, friends, and family to make directed contributions to different groups on campus - with different challenges and competitions mixed in. There are also opportunities to earn different swag from the University (t-shirts and can koozies yesterday, with thermal mugs kicking off this morning!). Each group has an opportunity to earn extra dollars based on the number of donors it receives - it's the number of donors, not the dollars that count here! This year there are 7 category specific donor challenges. Each campaign is competing to have the most number of donors in their category. The overall winner will receive an additional $5,000 for their program. Each category winner will receive an additional $2,000 for their program. A gift of any size can make a big difference in an area that means the most to you!

I'm going to shamelessly plug the campaign that means the most to me - The Justin Wheeler Memorial Scholarship https://marchgladness.xavier.edu/campaigns/justin-wheeler-memorial-scholarship-1#. Justin, who passed away last year, was one of my best friends from Xavier. After his passing, a few of my fellow classmates and ice hockey teammates worked to turn our grief into action by launching the Justin Wheeler Memorial Scholarship benefiting the Xavier Ice Hockey program.

Our goal is simple: Raise $50,000 in order to endow the scholarship. With March Gladness happening on March 9 and 10, we hope that you will consider a gift in support of Justin’s scholarship to help us reach our goal. Your donation will help to ensure that Justin's legacy will forever remain a part of Xavier Ice Hockey.
