It is pretty sad. I read that the Big East baseball tournament is playing at Ripkin Stadium in Aberdeen, Maryland. Have to wonder if anyone will be the stands for that.

My guess is less than 100.

It's the reality of baseball in most northern states. Hell, the only DI baseball team in Wisconsin is UW-Milwaukee, not even the badgers play. The baseball season generally falls during the colder months of the year and nobody is going to invest in an indoor baseball stadium for a college team. Kids don't want to play in the cold and fans don't want to sit outside when there are other entertainment options. I hope for the best, but a primarily Northern baseball conference is working with a pretty big handicap.

Sloppy game by both SHU and CU so far. 3-3 game in the 6th but Pirates have the bases loaded with no outs.

Wow did Seton Hall ever gift that game to Creighton. 3 runs in the 9th on only 1 hit- with a walk, 3 errors, and a walkoff wild pitch. The Jays didn't exactly earn that win, but with that 9th I can't say the Pirates deserved to win it either.

The announcers were talking about a wild pitch on an intentional walk in a regional just as the SH pitcher uncorked his wild pitch. Really strange ending. While happy with the win, I feel badly for the SH pitcher who made two terrible mistakes.

Jays just haven't been the same team over the last month unfortunately but it sounds like we are still in line for an at large *fingers crossed*. Big east getting two teams into the NCAA this year would be some kind of miracle.
