3 Big East men's soccer players were selected in the top 6 overall picks of the MLS draft, all by the Philadelphia Union. Players are as follows:

2. Joshua Yaro- Georgetown defender
3. Keegan Rosenberry- Georgetown defender
6. Fabian Herbers- Creighton midfielder

Another Georgetown defender- Cole Seiler, was then selected at 16 overall by the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Congrats to these guys and anyone else who gets drafted- the draft is live in the 2nd round as of this post.

Congrats to all. This league does a decent job of getting players into MLS, I know that MU has had 4 players selected in the draft or in MLS in the last 5 years. It's really great that MLS has done so well recently so that our home-grown talent has a place to ply their trade and make money.

Just a note, Creighton is the only NCAA team to have a player taken in every MLS draft since the league founded.
