Good luck! As a non-baseball school I don't really have a horse in this race, but I wish you all the best.

Ahh yes, the Nebraska game; aka when Creighton fans start to pay attention to baseball.

Creighton blanks SJU 6-0 on Friday for sole possession of first. Likely rainout today.

Anyone attending the Big East baseball tournament?

Unofficially, the Championship field is set as No. 1 St. John's, No. 2 Creighton, No. 3 Seton Hall and No. 4 Georgetown.

With a 5-2 win over Seton Hall in game two on Friday and a 16-2 Butler loss to Xavier, the Hoyas tied the Bulldogs at 8-10 in the league standings. Georgetown won the series 2-1 over Butler last weekend, giving the Hoyas the tie-breaker, and clinching its first BIG EAST Championship berth since 1986.

Interesting story from the Omaha paper on the tournament and the lack of crowds last year.

I will be at most games, that alone should mean this year's tourney will outperform last year's.

Hopefully we can get some discussion on the baseball tourney going. I'll be out at td later today and hope local fans represent. I don't expect big crowds, but should be more than last year.

Tough to predict game by game because of the double elimination bracket, but I'm picking Creighton over St. John's in the final. The 4 seed (Xavier) won the tourney last year, but I doubt we'll see an upset this year. The teams were all pretty close last year (X was really the only school that could have even been considered an "upset" winner), but this year the gap between #2 Creighton and #3 Seton Hall seems pretty large.
