PC was 5-0-2 and receiving votes but just got crushed 4-0 by UVA. They has not played a strong schedule but were off to a good start.

Here are the soccer polls for October 1, 2013:

Soccer America
#6 Creighton
#7 Georgetown
#11 St. John's
#17 Butler

NSCAA
#4 Creighton
#11 Georgetown
#14 St. John's
#16 Butler

College Soccer News
#4 Creighton
#7 Georgetown
#9 St. John's
#28 Butler

Hello Butler - now in all three polls. Creighton is a consensus top 5 team and the Hoyas and Storm keep passing each other week to week. That's four of our ten teams nationally ranked entering October - three in the top 15. Not too bad for our little start-up.

Has Butler historically been a strong soccer program? I know Creighton has and I know the histories of SJU and G'Town from the old BE.

Cool, DePaul is in at 56, Providence at 70. So we have 4 teams in the top 20 rpi, and 7 in the top 100. That's not bad. Hopefully Marquette will live up to expectations for the rest of the season.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Too bad for Creighton, but I'm sure they'll bounce back. With SLU getting back to form recently that's not really a bad loss.

Here are the soccer polls for October 8, 2013:

Soccer America
#4 Georgetown
#8 Creighton
#23 Providence

NSCAA
#7 Creighton
#9 Georgetown
#21 Butler
#22 St. John's
#25 Providence

College Soccer News
#5 Creighton
#7 Georgetown
#25 St. John's
#29 Butler

Hello Providence! Was at the game at Belson Stadium when the Friars took down the Johnnies on a penalty kick. That gives us half of the conference ranked in at least one poll. Georgetown and Creighton hold steady in all three. Butler and St. John's hang on in two and the Friars debut in two. Now if these five can get some staying power (I'm looking at you St, John's, Butler and Providence!) we should be good to go.

Johnnies are on a horrific slide sitting at 0-3-1 in the conference. Even so, they are just outside the rankings. Providence fell out as well but the Quette has returned.
